SHOCKING NEWS: Hip Hop Act Damino Damoche shot dead at LASU this afternoon

Rising hip hop act, Olaniyan Damilola, popular known as Damino Damoche, was shot dead this afternoon at Lagos State University Ojo gate by people suspected to be cultist.



Damoshe was shot twice in the head and hand after he finished writing a test at faculty of management science. He was a Banking and Finance student at LASU. He was popular for his song - obo to she.
We shall keep you posted on more as more details emerge.

Candlelight Procession For Goldie Holds Tomorrow

 

There will be a candlelight procession in memorial of Goldie tomorrow Friday 1st March 2013 at 6pm. All will converge at Parkview Estate gate in Ikoyi and then proceed to walk through Osborne road through to Awolowo way, Barracks then back to Parkview. Come with a candle stand if you can. Dress Code: Black. The MIC band will lead the procession.

The last good glimpse Nigerians had of Goldie was of her photos on the red carpet of the 55th Grammy Awards, where she appeared as a woman full of life. Her death four days later on Valentine’s Day was one hell of a shock for her fans, friends and family. Her demise evoked a volcano of mixed feeling as many haters took to the social media to further hex the soul of the deceased. In the wake of the Valentine’s Day tragedy, damning reports began to emerge: drugs, hedonism, a little-known marriage, and husband-snatching allegations.
Goldie’s untimely death stirred a storm of controversies that cannot simply be wished away. The big question revolves around her marriage. Before her death, if you’d ask showbiz followers about Goldie’s marital status, two out of three responses would be “single.” The remaining would be “no idea.” It hardly occurred to anyone outside her close circle that the Harvey surname she was bearing was not a stage but her marriage name. Indeed, the Skibobo singer created a cloud of deceit around her marital status. During press conferences, questions about her marital status were curtly cut off. On Facebook, Goldie’s marital status was inconclusive. “Single” but not searching and an occasional vague affirmation that she was “in a relationship,” was all Goldie offered as explanation for her marital status.
Many did not know Goldie wedded let alone, married a white man. Now a certain Andrew Harvey, a Briton, has announced himself, by uploading photos of their wedding that proved beyond doubt the verity of their 2005 wedding. So Goldie was married? Really?
At the BBA Stargame, Goldie was viewed through the lens of a single girl. Against this new background, you begin to wonder, what the hell was a 30-year-old woman with a seven-year-old marriage doing in the wild, whimsical house of the Big Brother Africa, where sex can happen at a short notice? Then you begin to wonder, where was Mr. Andrew Harvey when Goldie was gallivanting with Prezzo? A married Goldie flirted and got cosy with Prezzo, going as far as kissing him. For a married woman, that was so un-African. Even outside the BBA, her love chess with Prezzo continued. There were strong indications that at the time of her death, the Nigerian pop diva and the Kenyan rapper were still love interests. One doesn’t have to be a Sherlock Holmes to deduce that the marriage was not the made-in-heaven picture Mr. Harvey is now painting. Now Harvey is not making Goldie a saint as much as he is further casting aspersion on her image as a married wife.
Toxic reports in the wake of her shocking departure insinuated that Goldie’s was into drugs. These allegation, debunked by close pals, are just mere conjectures. What is common knowledge was that her friendship with Denrele Edun, the eccentric Channel O presenter, who also happened to be her business partner and co-presenter of their impending reality show, was not ordinary.
Now talking about Denrele, the initial story was that Goldie died in Denrele’s arms. The question is: where, in the house, or on the way to the hospital, because the hospital declared the singer dead on arrival. There had been different accounts about Goldie’s last minutes. The stories, sketchy but riddled with inconsistencies. So who is going to give us a blow-by-blow account of the last minute, including the names of people who were there? One report said her brother was in the house with her. When Entertainment Express visited her apartment at No 30B Ologun Kufere Street Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos, the following day, the apartment was deserted save for a weeping househelp who went in, packed her two suitcases and fled from the house.
Then you ask again a whole lot of questions: What is the police doing about it? Where are her family members?
The autopsy report indicated that Goldie died of hypertension. But the public needs to know the back story, particularly, the details of the last few minutes before her death. What, where, when, how, and who were the eye-witnesses?
Questions, questions, questions. It is better to let the dead to rest in peace. And in this clime, we do not speak ill of the dead. But this has to be said about the late entertainer: Goldie lied to us. It is no crime for a celebrity to keep her marital life out of the public radar - Onyeka Onwenu did it successfully. A stern I-am-married-but-my-marriage-is-not-a-matter-for-discussion response from Goldie would have been enough. Goldie misinformed us by her utterance, she misled us by her actions. She owed us an apology, even in death.
An insider, who spoke with us recently, said the family of Goldie wants the Police to invite Denrele, for questioning, since he claimed that their hale and hearty daughter died in his arms. “This I can tell you is the family’s position’s. They want Denrele to tell them and the world the circumstances that led to Goldie’s death”, disclosed this insider who does not want his name in print.

Drake Sent Away From A Club Because Chris Brown Was Inside

One Hollywood nightclub isnt big enough for Chris Brown and Drake, because it was learnt that, Drake was turned away at the door this week because Brown was already inside.
The club is Playhouse in Hollywood and sources tell TMZ, bouncers sent Drake on his way Wednesday night because Chris B was already partying at a table inside and they wanted to avoid any possible brawl scenarios.
According to TMZ, Brown was inside the club celebrating an anniversary party for some clothing brand called Popular Demand.
The bouncers were aware Chris was inside when Drake showed up around midnight and they knew Rihanna would be joining him later on,so they asked Drake to party somewhere else that night.
We’re told Drake handled the rejection like a gentleman and left without incident.

Wizkid Is Still Part Of E.M.E- Banky W

 

E.M.E boss, Banky W debunked reports of Wizkid’s break up from the record label.
Mr Capable said the label is currently re-negotiating the contract of Wizkid and that they are in the middle of the negotiation which they hope an agreement will be met soonest.
“Wizkid is going international and as a result we have to re-negotiate the contract he signed. Wizkid has his own idea of how he wants to do things and he has plans for himself too. Wizkid is still with us, there’s no problem, things will be sorted out soon”  Banky W told Silverbird. 
Banky W is very confident the issue would be settled in coming weeks.

Really Sad Story "Wizkid/EME On The Verge of a Major Split"

  

Another major musical divorce may rock the Nigerian music scene soon, if emerging feelers are anything to go by.Rumours have it  that Wizkid has parted ways with the Banky W led E.M.E record label.

One of the pointers was  his absence at the Lagos Countdown Concert on New Year Eve, despite an excuse by Banky W that the young singer was ill, even as sources say he was in far-away UK, having a swell time.

Wizkid, who parted ways with his long time manager and friend Osagie Osarenkhoe, in September 2012, is said to be dissatisfied with his contract agreement and sharing quota within the label.

A major indication of the possible crack is that his Twitter Bio now reads, Management @DisturbingLDN@Godwin Tom with no mention whatsoever of EME Records.

Although both parties are yet to put out any word concerning the matter, Banky W shut down these reports early this week, describing it as a mere rumour. In a recent interview, he was quoted as saying that Wizkid is still very much part of EME family. He also added that all Wizzy has is an international management and recording contract with British rapper, Tinie Tempah’s Disturbing London outfit and Akon’s Konvict Music respectively.

With various reports stating that Konvict music is offering the singer a more flexible contract they offer him, it is therefore unlikely that his anticipated album will be dropped on the EME imprint.

Also, the 23-year-old superstar,  who spent the most part of 2012 touring Europe, Asia and America,  had at the beginning of this year acquired a house in Lekki, Lagos. The move  was been attributed to the fact that the singer had an argument concerning his new home and leaving his EME label according to the unconfirmed report.

If it is true that both parties have parted ways, it will no doubt be a case of another failed relationship which brings to mind other examples such as the P-Square/May D, Eva/elDee as well as the Mo’Hits split.

But anyway We know that, at this moment, Wizkid is still SIGNED to EME. What happens in the next few weeks… anybody’s guess.

Hopefully this apparent feud gets resolved amicably for the sake of all parties involved.

Buh Why can't these guys just stick together? Must everybody break up? Nigerians are not united. Money is useless and can make you loose beautiful things that can never be bought... Imagine how many people would come out to call Banky a greedy person... Imagine how many people would take sides with Wizzy bcuz he is young and promising. It's funny how things change thoe... D'banj is really struggling to make it musically and Don Jazzy is also feeling the heat... The fans feel it more... Why can't one be contented? Chocolate City is the most organized label I've seen in Nigeria, while the rest are just falling behind.. MI has got Loopy Music which he runs with Iceprince and Jesse but they are still under Chocolate City. It's not like they cannot leave what they have to start their own cos they've made money but they just are following the right steps and the deal/contract they have with their label is paying off... They are contented... If you want to make more money there are other legit things you could do to make money. Your voice wears out after some time and people shift their attention towards something else even if it's a new Terry G... Please fix your problems indoors and don't disgrace each other in public.
