‘I may sign with Chocolate City’ – Waje

‘I may sign with Chocolate City’ – Waje

It looks like Cholocate City might grab their second female artiste soon and she’s no rookie too.
For months, the rumours of the gifted singer Waje joining powerhouse record label Chocolate City has been circulating and while the label has refused to confirm or dispel the news, Waje has opened up on what is really going on.
We are trying to see how we can work together. They have been a very strong part of my career since ‘One Naira’ in the sense that they’ve really helped me in many ways. There is a possibility‘, Waje told Channels TV presenter Victoria Idowu in an interview.
Waje was fully introduced to the Chocolate City camp after collaborating with rapper M.I on his 2010 hit ‘One Naira’ off his ‘MI2‘ album.
‘It’s all about getting the right deal, this things do matter at the end of the day. Both Waje and Choc City need to know it’s worth it’, an inside source in Waje’s camp tells NET.
Chocolate City have signed two artistes this year – Port Harcourt rapper Pryse and gospel singer Nosa. They now carry a robust roaster of seven artistes – the others being M.I, Jesse Jagz, Brymo, Ice Prince along with an official Disc Jockey – DJ Caise.

It keeps getting better for Iyanya Mbuk. The R&B turned pop singer recently acquired a Range Rover Sport SUV.
I’m thankful‘, he commented as he posted a picture of his new toy on Instagram. His manager later confirmed the news ‘Yes, it’s true‘, he responded.

In July 2012, the ‘Kukere‘ singer moved into his Lekki home.
Fortune is smiling on the 26-year-old who had earlier found it hard to break into the mainstream after winning the first ever Project Fame West Africa talent show.
’Iyanya now gets fat cheques and always has a show to perform at High Profile Shows, going home with pays of around 1-2million bucks!  a source close to the Calabar native tells @Cubaze.

Superstar Wizkid Splashes N6m On VW Convertible

Rave of the moment, Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has just splashed close to six million Naira on acquiring an automobile. The new machine is a blue-coloured 2010 Volkswagen convertible from the Eos 2.0 TSI Comfortline range.

The convertible replaces the Black Honda Accord i-VTEC, allegedly bought for him by actress Tonto Dikeh, but which he lost to robbers in a March car-jack incident in Lagos.

The excited singer tweeted a picture of his dad, Alhaji Balogun, testing the new ride on Sunday. But a few days after, he deleted the tweet.

Wizkid has risen steadily since dropping his first single, ‘Holla at your boy’ in 2009. The debutante continued to receive wide acclaim with every single released and capped it with a 17-track hit album which was launched in grand style at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos in June 2011.

Currently, the Superstar grosses an average of One million Naira per show and is booked well in advance as he transverses the length and breath of Nigeria, Africa, the U.K and U.S to honour engagements.

He is nominated in the Best African Act category of the Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) alongside Pop singer D’banj and Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti among other top African contenders as well as the  MTV Europe Music Awards in the ‘World Wide Act‘ category.

The 21 year old EME signee recently fathered a baby girl in Lagos, Nigeria.

21 year old Nigerian music sensation, Wizkid has grown from a boy into a man by impregnating an undergraduate named Sola. According to the reports, Sola who resides in Magodo, Lagos was studying in the University of Ghana, Legon and has delivered a baby girl for the young rapper.
According to the reports, close friends and associates of Wizkid have remained silent on the issue, while his parents and mentors are insisting on a DNA test for confirmation, before fully admitting the child is for the rapper.

Wizkid is reported to have tweeted last Friday that “Hey All.. Got sumthin to tell yall. In life, there are those times when you wonder about the wrong decisions you’ve made… This is one of those times for me. I realize that I haven’t always lived up to everyone’s expectations from my loved ones to the immense love from my fans. I am sorry. Please continue to pray for me. Davido acquires N140 million home in Lekki

Following in the footsteps of his billionaire father who reportedly built a ‘mega church’ structure, albeit in a different way, Davido has decided to show that life is not about the blings, fast cars or parties as he has reportedly acquired a property worth about N140 million. Although it hasn’t been confirmed if that is the exact amount he paid to own the property but going by currentmarket value, the house should cost nothing less!
The property which is in Lekki Phase1, is close to where his father also has a house. The business acquisition was concluded between yesterday and today.

Update: 30 million Naira fee tears Charly Boy, Nigerian Idol apart!

I told you guys a few days ago that Charly Boy may be on his way out of the music talent show where he was a judge last season. I've been digging and sources close to the music reality show, which is scheduled to start shooting soon, said that the showbiz impresario is allegedly asking for 30 million Naira before he will be part of the judging panel for next season.

Charly Boy and the producers of Nigerian Idol have had several meetings in the past but they all ended in deadlock as the Area Fada is said to be insisting on more money.

I hear Optima Media Group, producers of NI, may soon be looking for a replacement for Charly Boy if they don't resolve their issues soon but hopefully they will. He brought so much to the show last year...

Deputy Governor of Lagos state Mrs. Adejoke Orelope Adefulire presents a N6m cheque to the Green Family, MDA 6 winners
After weeks of thrilling performances, hectic rehearsals, and a lot of laughter, the Green family has emerged winners of the sixth season of Maltina Dance All TV show, walking away with N6m and a brand new Toyota Avensis.
The Greens were announced as winners at a grand finale which took place at the Expo Centre of the Eko Hotel and Suites. The show was anchored by familiar host Kemi Adetiba with judges Janell Burgess, Muyiwa Oshinaike, Michael Adegoke present.
The Green family beat four other families Efiokwu, Boyle, Zibe and Eghove that had qualified for the grand finale. All five families gave their last performance to thrill the audience and boost their votes. The end of the performance saw the Green family emerge winners after garnering the largest votes from Nigerians, with Efiokwu and Eghove families as the first and second runners taking home N1m and N500, 000 respectively.
So ecstatic to be crowned the number one dance family in Nigeria, 19 year old Ibiba Green, the family representative, could not hide her tears of joy as she gave thanks to God for making it possible for her family to be crowned winners. Also, Telema Green, the mother, expressed her joy and gratitude.
Because dancing is an ongoing process, Maltina created the MDA Academy to teach families more about the art of dancing, the way to move and adjust their bodies to different types of music. We basically educate them on dance styles and patterns, so every year; it is only going to get better as the education also gets stronger’, Janell Burgess said.
Last year, the Ekubo family was announced as winner of the fifth season, walking away with N5m and an SUV.
